Lagrange Shooting Today – As of Saturday night, March 4, 2023, law enforcement and emergency personnel in LaGrange, Georgia are investigating to a gunshot incident. Officers from the Lagrange Police Department were reportedly sent to South Bend Park in LaGrange after reports of gunfire in the area. The authorities do not specify whether or not any victims were injured or killed as a result of the incident. At the time of this writing, there had been no reports of any arrests made, nor had any description of the shooter or suspect been released to the public. As officials will be conducting an investigation, it is best if the public stays away from the scene for now.

According to the authorities, a youngster who was 15 years old was shot in the back on Saturday night in LaGrange, and he passed away a few days later. They do not have any possible suspects. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Handley Street shortly before 8 o’clock in the evening. The child was discovered close to 14 Habersham Drive, where initial medical assistance was rendered prior to the arrival of an ambulance.

On Tuesday, the authorities announced that the teen had passed away at approximately 13:30 local time at Grady Memorial Hospital. The individual was recognized by the coroner at Quendarrious Woodyard. The GBI will conduct an autopsy on his body after receiving it from the morgue.

After Mr. Woodyard’s passing, the Troup County School System has issued the following statement: “TCSS is deeply saddened over this loss, and our thoughts and condolences go out to the family members and friends of the student,” the district said in a statement.
