Kyle Schlatter Death – A 36-year-old Wilton man has died following a deadly motorcycle accident that happened on Ethan Allen Highway in Ridgefield Thursday night. The victim has been identified as Kyle Schlatter. According to reports, Kyle Schlatter, a resident of Wilton, Connecticut passed away from injuries sustained in the fatal crash. The crash occurred around 10:55 p.m. just south of Simpaug Turnpike, police said.
According to a news release from the Ridgefield Police Department on Thursday evening, the motorcycle was heading south on the highway, referred to as Route 7, when it veered into the northbound lane and collided with a northbound vehicle. Tragically, Kyle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Details regarding the condition of the driver of the northbound vehicle, a 48-year-old Bridgeport resident, remain uncertain following the accident. As of Friday evening, no additional information has been made available. The police are actively investigating the incident. Regrettably, on Monday, it was confirmed that the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old Redding man, had passed away due to the injuries sustained in the accident. Based on an initial investigation, it appears that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Cross Highway when they lost control while navigating a curve, as stated by Succi. To further delve into the incident, the Redding Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Team is conducting a follow-up investigation.
