Civil engineer Kyle Krieger has achieved incredible success in his career by fusing knowledge, real-world experience, and unrelenting commitment to his profession. His quest began while he was a student at Milton-Union High School from 2007 until 2011. Kyle pursued his further studies at The Ohio State University following his high school graduation. He studied civil engineering from 2011 to 2015. Kyle supplemented his academic knowledge as a student with practical experience through a range of internships.
During the summer of 2012, he was an intern at the City of Piqua’s department of parks and streets. Throughout his five-month internship, which ran from April to August, Kyle learnt a lot about labour and equipment operations. He laid a solid foundation for his later professional pursuits with his initial experiments with the applied aspects of civil engineering. In 2013, Kyle completed a summer internship as an engineering intern with Brumbaugh Engineering & Surveying, LLC, located in West Milton, Ohio.
He aided contractors with the planning and design of building projects and performed fieldwork as a survey technician throughout his four-month stint, which ran from May to August. Kyle furthered his technical proficiency by using Carlson Software to set data points for surveyors, a crucial skill in the engineering and surveying sectors. In 2014, Kyle interned in Belmont, West Virginia with American Municipal Power, Inc. as a Generations intern.
He spent an additional four months, from May to August, collaborating with MWH Global design engineers on rebar and concrete inspections, answering RFIs, and reading engineering prints. Kyle’s long internship history and stellar academic record made his business venture conceivable. He assumed ownership of Turner Construction Company, which is situated in Columbus, Ohio, by applying the knowledge and skills he had gained.
