Who was Kyle Kelting?

In 2013, Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University. He pursued a career as a Registered Nurse, finding his most recent employment at the University of Michigan Health-West Hospital. There, he diligently served in both the Emergency Department and Surgical Prep and Recovery Unit, leaving an indelible impact on countless lives, all without expecting anything in return. Kyle’s remarkable qualities included resilience and unwavering dedication, qualities that earned the admiration of everyone who crossed his path.

During moments of intense stress, Kyle displayed an exceptional ability to remain composed and calm. This strength played a pivotal role in providing stability to his wife and family during a trying period when their daughter was born 15 weeks prematurely, necessitating a lengthy 95-day stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Beyond his professional life, Kyle relished spending time outdoors, whether it was riding his motorcycle, camping, working on vehicles, taking a dip in the pool, tending to the yard, enjoying the beach, or simply cherishing moments with his loved ones. Food, family, and fun held a special place in Kyle’s heart. In 2013, while working together as nurses in the Emergency Department at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, he captivated Kristen with just a wink of an eye.

Their love blossomed, culminating in their marriage in September 2015. Together, they were blessed with two beautiful children, Kendalyn (3 years old) and Kayson (1 year old). Kyle was an extraordinarily involved father, particularly in addressing the unique needs of Kendalyn, stemming from her premature birth.

The news of expecting a son, Kayson, filled him with immense joy, and he eagerly embraced the role of being a father to his son. Kyle’s humility and unwavering faith in God were evident to all who knew him, leaving no doubt that he now rides a motorcycle or drives a 1969 Camaro while rejoicing with Jesus in heaven.
