The Nashville Police Department says that officers were sent to the shopping store located at 800 Monroe Street in Nashville after reports of shots being fired in the business. An investigation into a “road rage incident” involving a weapon on the Interstate 840 on-ramp on Friday afternoon has been opened by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. Around 1:20 pm on Friday, July 21, deputies said they were called to the incident on the Horton Highway to I-840 eastbound ramp.
Officials claim that a man operating a white Ford F-250 “work truck” fired rounds at the victim, one of which struck the victim’s car’s taillight. There have been no reports of injuries from this occurrence, though. Following the shooting, authorities temporarily closed the on-ramp; however, it has since been restored. Regarding the ongoing inquiry into the event that occurred on Friday afternoon, no more information has been disclosed.
