Kit Damson biography
Kit was born on August 3, 1975, to Duke and Jacki Damson of McFarland, Wisconsin. He earned a degree in Exercise Physiology from McFarland High School and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kit’s schooling brought him to the Mayo Clinic, where he spent several years as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology.
In 2018, he became a Clinical System Expert at Mayo’s Integrated Stress Center, working in collaboration with others. Being from Wisconsin, he was naturally a passionate supporter of the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers. Nonetheless, some Minnesota did rub off on him, since he adored Minnesota Wild hockey. Yet, his greatest affection was for his kids, Dane and Hans.
His loud, booming voice could be heard from the dugout or the sidelines, as well as from the grandstand when he watched his sons play the sports they adored, or throughout the neighbourhood when he called them home for dinner. Also, Kit selected the Alcoholics Anonymous family. He was a mentor, sponsor, life coach, and best friend to numerous struggling men and women. His absence will be deeply felt by the members of that unique family.
