Khalia Smith Death – A teenager has died following a deadly car accident that happened last night. The victim has been identified as Helena High School senior Khalia Smith. According to reports, Khalia Smith from Birmingham, Alabama passed away from injuries sustained in the fatal crash. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Shelby County Road 13, near the intersection of County Road 52, according to Hoover Police Department.
How did the crash happen?
Officers determined that the vehicle was travelling around a curve when it exited the roadway and struck multiple trees. According to the coroner’s report, Smith wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. No additional information was provided. Principal Ashley Bahr stated that the school was informed of Khalia Smith’s demise on Thursday morning. Principal Bahr reported that the Shelby County Schools Crisis Intervention Team is available to assist students, parents, and school personnel.
Counsellors will also be available at the school for any student who may want help or assistance.

About Helena High School
Helena High School is a public high school for grades 9 through 12 located in Helena, Montana, United States. It is part of the Helena Public School District. Founded in September 1876, it is the oldest high school in the state of Montana. A new building was completed in August 1935 and it was almost destroyed a few months later in the 1935 Helena earthquake.
In 1955, the building became Helena Junior High School (now Helena Middle School) and Helena High School moved into its present location at 1300 Billings Avenue, just off Montana Avenue. In 2015, the school became notable for hosting underground pigeon fights, although this would later lead to various lawsuits.
