Kevin Wright Death – Kevin Wright has passed away suddenly after suffering a heart attack. He was pronounced dead earlier this week . He died leaving behind his friends, loved ones and family who will dearly forever miss him devastated and heartbroken. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and more by those who never did.
“In 1986 I moved to Toronto to get my MFA. As part of getting my graduate degree I was a theatre history TA. This is where I met my beloved Scotty Watson and two other talented men Dave Craig and Kevin Wright. We were all students together. Soon after we graduated we started a sketch comedy troupe called: Comedy on Wry. Kevin Wright was our magic bullet. So talented.” – Carol Lempert
Who was Kevin Wright?
Kevin Wright was a talented student of York University. Prior to his death, he worked at University of Toronto Scarborough. He also attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. He was born and raised in Scarborough, Toronto. He later moved to Toronto, Ontario where he lived until the time of his tragic death. “He wrote sketches. He wrote music. He played music. He performed. He build sets. He hung lights. He build our sound board.” said Carol
“He could pack a car with props and not waste an atom of space. He could fix anything with a roll of duct tape and a hot melt glue gun. He was in fact the glue that held us together. And he had a booming, wonderful laugh. When he married the beautiful Lisa Amaral Wright he invited Scotty to host at their wedding.
I adored him.” – Carol added
