Kevin Wanggaard Cause Of Death, Obituary Unavailable Yet – Kevin Wanggaard, a 61-year-old Caledonia Village Trustee, died abruptly Saturday at Ascension-All Saints Hospital after a medical issue.
According to racinecountyeye.com, Wanggaard was a member of the Caledonia Village Board for 18 years and worked for the City of Racine Water Department for 30 years. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #437, both locally and nationally, as well as Moose International.
“We definitely want to thank everyone that has reached out for support,” he said. “He’s touched so many lives in so many different ways – friends, family, through the Moose, through the water department, through the Caledonia Village. I mean, you name it. There’s literally not a person that knew him that he didn’t love. And it was always evident. Always, he cared about everyone.
“You know, his family was everything to him. We always joked that Caledonia and then came a close second. But ultimately, his grandkids were his life.”
Wanggaard is the youngest of eight children, and his older brother Van is a State Senator. On August 9, 2010, Kevin married Sandy Wanggaard. According to Sandy’s son Nick Keeran, he treated Sandy’s grandchildren as if they were his own.
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May God grant you the peace you seek. Please accept our condolences.
