Kevin began his professional life in his hometown of London, began his professional life in Canada in the 1970s, and then moved to South Africa in 1979. Since then, he has consistently been heard on stations like Capital 604 and 702. He was most known for his position on 5FM, where he hosted the midday show for a decade. At that time, he created the well-known Music Power Half Hour request show, a feature that still continues today but under a different name. Kevin was also well known for his work on the television show Top Billing. He held the positions of shareholder and program director at KFM in Cape Town in the late 1990s.

Kevin Savage attended St.Egbert’s College from 1959 to 1966 and went to Mcentee High School and graduated in 1972. Hw also went to East Herts College where he gained an A Level in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts in 1973. Kevin proceeded to Guildhall School of Music and Drama from 1973 to 1974. Between 1997 to 1997, he went to the University of the Witwatersrand where he studied Radio Management and graduated in 1997.
From 1979 to 1983, Kevin Savage was a presenter at Capital Radio 604 in South Africa for 4 years. Between 1984 to 1984, he worked as a presenter and producer at 702 in the Johannesburg area of South Africa. He worked for Capital Radio 604 as a programmer supervisor from 1984 to 1989. He was employed by 5FM to work as a producer and presenter, a role he held for 7 years. For four years and three months, from November 1996 to January 2001, he oversaw the programming at Kfm Radio in Cape Town.
For four years and three months, he served as the program director at Cape Town’s Kfm Radio. For two years and six months, from May 2007 to October 2009, he served as an OFM Consultant and Trainer. He served as the managing director of MPowerFM Radio in the Mpumalanga Region of South Africa for two years and six months, from February 2009 to July 2011.
