The authorities have made public the identity of a guy from Oceanside who passed away last week as a result of complications stemming from injuries he sustained in a predawn e-bike accident one month prior.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Kevin Cerv, who was 56 years old at the time of the accident, suffered severe head and neck trauma, including a spinal fracture, when the electric two-wheeler he was riding caused a collision with a car at the intersection of Corporate Centre Drive and Ocean Ranch Boulevard in Oceanside. The accident occurred just before 4 a.m. on April 9.
Prior to his passing on Friday evening, Cerv was admitted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where his condition rapidly deteriorated throughout the course of his staying there.
