Death: Dallas police say a 22-year-old man was fatally shot in an alley in east Oak Cliff- According to the Dallas Police Department, investigators are investigating multiple shootings that occurred over the weekend. Officers responded to a call regarding a body in an alleyway near the 2700 block of Moffatt Avenue around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday. This is near the Dallas VA Medical Center, west of Interstate 45.
According to wfaa.com, The unknown victim at the time, a Black man between the ages of 18 and 25, died from a single gunshot wound, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. Later Monday afternoon, Dallas Police issued an update, stating that the victim had been identified as Kentrell Tilley Rodney, a 22-year-old black male, by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office.
According to Dallas Police, the motivation and circumstances surrounding this murder are being investigated. Investigators in Dallas are investigating three more shootings that occurred last Friday.
Officers responded to a shooting report in a shopping center parking lot at 3600 Samuell Boulevard around 3:49 a.m. on Sunday when they discovered a 55-year-old Black man with a gunshot wound to his chest.
