Ken Broughton Obituary

Kenneth (Ken) James Broughton II, age 33, of Hatfield, PA passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Ken came to us on Monday, August 8, 1988, in Sumneytown PA. Ken’s parents are Mr. Kenneth James Broughton (Terri) and Ms. Sharon Faust Manfredi.

Ken attended Saint Stanislaus Catholic School thru 8th grade, then transferred to North Penn for High School. He was also a teammate on the North Penn Fighting Knights Football team under Coach Beck’s in their 2003 victorious State Championship (AAAA) that compiled a 15 – 0 perfect season.

Ken’s undergraduate studies were in his love of justice with Pre-Law courses. Ken was honored during his tenure in college with his podcast he hosted during his weekly radio show. This progressive current events show was retired when Ken moved on from his academia career for his true love in life.

Ken’s passion for justice, diversity, inclusion and equity propelled him into the career he chose at an early age in life. Ken’s life-long dream of owning his own Hospitality enterprise consisting of food, spirits and songs to fill the air led him to a career in Hospitality Management. Ken excelled at all aspects of the hospitality industry especially in the ever demanding areas of restaurant management, casino profitability, and recreational services. He was a truly an inspirational leader to his associates, peers and team members.

Ken’s hobbies included but not limited to, his passion for his NY Giants and the two Super Bowl Championships he celebrated with Giant Nations. Ken was there when the ‘Curse’ was decimated in 2008 with the Broad Street, Philadelphia Phillies World Series victory (4 games to 1) over the defeated Tampa Bay Rays as the City of Brotherly Love showed their love to World Champions Philadelphia Phillies. Ken, when not cheering on his beloved Giants, Phillies, NJ Devils, immersed himself into Manchester United and the Premier League.

Ken is survived by his Father (Kenneth Broughton), Mother (Sharon Faust Manfredi); Grandmother (Mrs. Rosemary Pickersgill); brother (Antonio Manfredi); and many relatives, friends and associates.

Ken’s family will receive friends at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church (51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446) on Saturday March 26, 2022 from 10am to 11:30am. Ken’s funeral Mass is at 11:30am. Simcox Mcllvaine Funeral Home is handling Ken’s arrangements.

In lieu of sending flowers, please donate to a charitable organization of your choice. Thank you to Father Sean English, Saint Stanislaus Choir, family, friends and all who helped us celebrate Ken’s life. Without Love, day to day insanity is king. May the four winds take you safely home.
