Who was Kellina Craig Henderson?
Kelli “Kellina” Craig Henderson attended Brooklyn Technical High School and also graduated from Wesleyan University. She was a loving and dedicated wife to Foster Henderson. Dr. Kellina M. Craig-Henderson is a former professor of psychology who currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Director for the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences Directorate of the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Prior to taking on the position of Director for the NSF’s Tokyo Regional Office, she worked as the Deputy Division Director of the Social and Economic Sciences Division of SBE. She was elevated to the status of Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at Howard University before beginning full-time Federal service at NSF.

She has written two books on interracial relationships in addition to papers documenting her own empirical study in peer-reviewed journals. Studying groups, cross-cultural, gender, and racial concerns, as well as aggressiveness and expatriation processes, are all part of her research agenda. She has received funding for her work from both public and commercial sources, and she has presented the results of her study at regional, international, and national research conferences.
Kelli was really informed, friendly, and sympathetic. She was an excellent author who worked hard and communicated effectively. Kelli always had counsel and an opinion on everything. She welcomed innumerable people who needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or a kind heart. Many others sought her advice and soaked up the love, knowledge, and kindness that defined her. Kelli enjoyed trying new things and making friends with everyone she met.
