Keith Hernandez was born in San Francisco, California, on October 20, 1953, to Scottish, Irish, and Spanish parents. Keith is a retired professional baseball player who is most known for his time with the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is currently a baseball analyst and one of the most well-known baseball broadcasters in the country. All of his efforts have contributed to the current level of his net worth.

The Mets struggled to win during this time, but Hernandez lifted them to a winning record in 1984. Surrounded by younger players, he rose to Captain of the Mets and significantly improved the club. Keith’s former team, the Cardinals, would eventually create a rivalry with the Mets, and the two teams would compete to be the best in the league. In 1986, Hernandez’s efforts were rewarded with a World Series victory over the Boston Red Sox.
