The family members of Kathleen Furlong have gotten the information about the accident that resulted in her death and the officials are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.

Following the accident at the intersection of Fortunestown Way and Cheeverstown Road, an elderly woman named Kathleen Furlong, who was in her eighties, was killed when she was struck by a car. Although the driver did not stop at the scene of the accident, Gardaí were able to find the vehicle involved a short while later. Gardai provided an update this evening, during which they announced that an arrest has been made in connection with the fatal collision.
In accordance with Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984, a man in his forties has been detained in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that took place in Tallaght, Dublin 24 early on the morning of Friday, September 8th, 2023.in this time, he is being held in custody in a Garda Station located somewhere in the South Dublin area.
Garda continue to request that anyone who may have observed this collision or who may have information about it gets in touch with them. Any road users or pedestrians who may have video footage (including dash-cam footage) and who were traveling on Fortunestown Way or Cheeverstown Road yesterday morning between 10:30 am and 11:15 am are asked to make this film available to Garda.
