Death: Two Killed In Catastrophic Six-Vehicle Accident Near Cygnet
On Sunday night, two persons were killed in a catastrophic six-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 near Cygnet. Andrew Jones, 19, of Findlay, and Kassidi Krzykwa, 23, of Kalamazzo, Michigan, were declared dead at the scene of the 9:54 p.m. crash just north of Cygnet Road, according to the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
According to the complaint, Nicholas Luderman, 24, of Napoleon, was driving a 2018 Chevy Malibu southbound when he rear-ended a 2003 Dodge Dakota driven by Jones. The Dodge crossed the median and collided with at least two automobiles in I-75’s northbound lanes.
While other automobiles in the neighborhood were damaged by debris, two of Krzykwa’s vehicles, a Dodge Dakota and a Jeep Grand Cherokee, were consumed in flames. Jones and Krzykwa died instantly.
Anthony Rastigue and Leti Rastigue, two other occupants of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, were removed from the scene by Life Flight with life-threatening injuries.
