Kasey Altman Death – Google Account Executive and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumnus Kasey Altman has passed away at the age of 26 on Monday 4th July 2022. The cancer community has lost yet another incredible person; she served as a source of motivation and advocacy for all of us.
Who was Kasey Altman?
Kasey Altman was a creative writer, speaker, advocate, artist, and former athlete who dedicated her energy while working as an Account Executive at Google and Greenhouse Software and has a history of success in sales and content there. Kasey Altman bravery and infectious grin have been an inspiration to a great number of people. She accomplished more in her brief life than the majority of individuals do in their entire lives combined, and she worked tirelessly to effect positive change in the world.
Kasey Altman definitely had a gift for expressing herself verbally. She never failed to crack a smile. She was the definition of the term “powerhouse.” Kasey had a remarkable spirit that left an impression on the lives of everyone she came in contact with. In October of 2020, the patient was initially diagnosed with stage four alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, also known as ARMS.
Kasey Altman received a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in marketing from Montana State University-Bozeman, where she studied. After the second year, she was given a new academic and athletic opportunity by being transferred. She empowered fellow patients, advocated for change in the healthcare system in the United States, educated people about her experience living with sarcoma, and challenged misunderstandings about cancer and disability. She did all of this through her social media platforms.
She continued her education at The University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She competed at the Division I level of the NCAA in volleyball. In the years 2017 and 2018, Kasey completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in strategic Communications. She graduated from the school of Communications in December 2018 with a Double Emphasis on PR & Communications degree, earning a place on the Dean’s List in the process.
