Prayers for Justin Owens family and the entire racing community! As someone who has loved many people that race, we always know the risk of the sport but we just pray it never happens. RIP Justin! I pray my grandpa, Bryan Clauson, and the other great racers before you have the track of heaven prepped and ready!”
Who was Justin Owens?
Justin Owens was Technical Sales Engineer at Die Craft Machining & Engineering. He studied Operations Management at University of Cincinnati. He went to William Henry Harrison High School in Ohio. Since the news of the tragic event surfaced, many have sent their prayers and thought to the family of Justin who is going though a sad and hard time grieving the tragic loss.
Earlier this evening this young man posted this status. Tragically, just a few hours later he is no longer with us, having lost his life in a qualifying crash at a local track. I didn’t know him, never saw him race. But, there is no tighter community than the racing community. It’s a family. One I have been a part of for 38 years. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine these things happening since safety is paramount to the sport. But then there comes the heartbreaking punch to the gut reminding you how dangerous racing will always be. Lifting up prayers for Justin’s family, friends, his crew, and fellow competitors.
Justin Owens obituary and funeral arrangements will be released at a later date
