Joshua Tharpe Obituary, Death : Joshua Tharpe of Denham Springs, Louisiana, who was a ”Party Down South” cast and star has died. He was found dead at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 7, 2022.
Joshua Tharpe was born on April 8, 1979, age of forty-two. He was born in Jackson, MS to Sadie K. Chutz and Brian K. Tharpe. When he was four months old, they moved to Denham Springs where he would spend his remaining days.
He attended Denham Springs High School and later went on to Mississippi Delta on a basketball scholarship. When he left college, he joined the U.S. Army and served two years. Josh accomplished many achievements in his life, but his greatest achievement was being the best son, brother, uncle and friend anyone could ask for.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Sadie King Chutz and Clay Chutz, his brothers Billy Tharpe and wife Jenifer, and Chris Tharpe and fiancé Kristina Schubert, nieces; Taylor, Tori, Tinsley, Gracie, Haylee and Presly Tharpe; sister Corley Chutz and fiancé Tanner McDaniel and uncle/ grandfather, retired U.S. Army Colonel Loring Tharpe.
He was preceded in death by his father Brian K. Tharpe, maternal grandparents Frank and Grace King and paternal grandparents Percy and Judy Huggins.
Visitation will be held at Live Oak United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 10, 2022 beginning at 5:00pm. Dr. Mark Crosby will conduct funeral services at 8:00pm.
A graveside service will be held at Beech Ridge Cemetery on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00am.
Pallbearers will be; Nick Harris, Dante Landry, Tony Jarreau, Mike Dougay, Ryan “Daddy” Scott Richards, Jared Bencaz, Cliff Almand, Blake Sequin, Brennon Vinet, Clem Sasso, James Horne, David Chambers, and Sage Brignac. “Be strong and courageous!
