The first findings of the inquiry show that a white 2013 Dodge was traveling northbound on US 31, when it drove to the right off road for reasons that are now unknown and collided with a concrete bridge abutment. The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident despite the efforts of the troopers who responded to the scene.

There is no evidence to suggest that either drinking or drugs played a role in the collision. Later in this week, the Marshall Forensic Center will be performing an autopsy on the body that was found.
