John Schofield relations mourns his death – Tributes and Condolences

John Charles Schofield Death – John Charles Schofield sadly passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. John Charles, a member of the New Hamburg Community and a resident of Stonecroft died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener. His cause of death was not immediately revealed. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Who was John Schofield?

John was born on the 22nd of December in 1946 in the city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec. John has been both a resident of the Stonecroft neighborhood and a participant in the New Hamburg Community. He wed Phyllis (Saskie) Schofield in 1979, and they have been married ever since. Phyllis adores her husband and considers him her best friend.

His sister Charlotte Jones, her husband Allan, and their children Melanie, Angela, and Kimberly, as well as his sister-in-law Penny Duffield and her husband David Lloyd, will miss their brother-in-law John for the rest of their lives. Predeceased and at peace with his parents, William and Dorothea (Slack) Schofield, who are now together again.

John worked as a software architect for a number of years, and after he retired, he began publishing novels of the thriller genre under the pen name Clay Farrow. Swimming was one of his favorite activities, and he also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing tennis, and traveling with his beloved Phyllis.

A special thank you on behalf of John’s family goes out to Dr. Julie Maidment, Dr. Jade Coyne, Meghan Tanner, his nurse of four years, Dianne Wilkenson, and Sara Elinsky, his care coordinators from Waterloo Wellington, who have shown care and compassion to John and Phyllis throughout his medical journey.

The cremation process has been completed. There will be no memorial service or other such ceremony. At a later time, a private memorial service will be performed in the deceased’s honor. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cancer Clinic at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener will be received on John’s behalf as expressions of sympathy. Both organizations are located in Kitchener. Mark Jutzi Funeral Home in New Hamburg has been entrusted with the responsibility of making funeral preparations.
