John Murphy, 75, Killed In Saw Mill River Parkway Motorcycle Accident In Chappaqua

After losing control of his motorcycle, a 75-year-old Elmsford man was killed in a crash in Chappaqua. According to Westchester County Police, John Murphy perished in the crash on Tuesday shortly after 7:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the scene of a motorcycle accident on the Saw Mill River Parkway, just south of Roaring Brook Road, on the southbound side.

According to patch.com, Murphy was discovered alongside his 2016 Harley Davidson on the side of the road. He was pronounced deceased at the site by a paramedic from Westchester EMS. According to authorities, no other vehicles appear to have been involved in the collision.

The Saw Mill River Parkway’s southbound lanes were stopped for more than an hour while investigators examined the crash scene. The County Police Accident Investigation Team is still looking into the cause of the accident.
