John DeLuca Death – John DeLuca has died. He was pronounced dead last night, Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The news of his death has totally devastated the whole The DaVinci Center community/. Dearly beloved John will be greatly missed. He passed away at the age of 85. The death of the John continues to shock many people, leaving them in sorrow and grief
The DaVinci Center has suffered a great loss. John served as the Executive Director for the center for a while before his sad passing. John has served the community of the North End of Providence and the surrounding areas with an unmatched passion as well as an unwavering dedication for the past 50 years. John DeLuca was able to always see the best in everyone and never saw anyone as beyond help.
He always had a sincere desire to be of assistance to everyone he met. He made a profound impact on everyone he encountered and genuinely was a Good Samaritan. We also look back on this period as one of Thanksgiving in having known John, despite the profound loss felt by everyone during this terrible time. We can only hope that we can continue to help people in need by following in his footsteps.
The Center’s 50 years of existence and success, as well as the numerous individuals whose lives he touched, will serve as his legacy. After comments and condolences from friends, relatives, and acquaintances who were mourning his passing, the DaVinci Center for Community Development broke the news of his passing in a social media post.

I believe I became a better person observing how he lived his life. In this past year that I volunteered there and worked for him, I could never have expected the level of healing in my heart that would come with serving others.
Funeral Services
Funeral Arrangements have been made with A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home located at 200 Hawkins St. Providence, R.I. 02904. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 8th from 4-8 o’clock in the evening. The funeral mass will happen at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Thursday, March 9th at 10 o’clock in the morning.
