The crowd fell silent as Truman slid down the bank, and medical personnel flocked to his side. Truman finally sat up after a long struggle, to a loud applause from the crowd inside the velodrome. Carlin also confirmed the incident that happened to his housemate that sustained injuries, saying that over the course of Truman’s career, he has struggled with numerous ailments. Truman’s back injuries, according to Carlin, destroyed his Tokyo Olympics campaign.
Carlin while wishing Truman quick recovery said that “He’s a team-mate and I lived with him for a long time. Fortunately, he got up and is moving around, but he took a good hit to his head.
