Jim Doty Death – Jim Doty has passed away, according to a Facebook post made by Royal Pin Entertainment on the 6th of March 2023. Jim Doty died on the 5th of March 2023 from unknown causes. Jim Doty was also known to many as Jimmy Doty. Mr. Doty served as the general manager of Royal Pin Entertainment in Indianapolis, which is comprised of a number of establishments, the most notable of which is Woodland Bowl from the point of view of the PBA.
Woodland is the only bowling facility that has ever been chosen to host all five of the PBA major championships in the history of the organization. Also, the renowned sports bar known as “Beer Thirty” that is located inside the stadium is adorned with PBA champions banners from each player who has prevailed in that arena. Reports state that Woodland is intertwined into the fundamental foundation of the PBA.
Who was Jim Doty?
He was born in Carmel, Indiana. He resided in Indianapolis IN. Reports state that because of his enthusiasm for bowling, Jim Doty was able to make a positive impact on the lives of a significant number of people, and the bowling centers and teams he oversaw were responsible for staging a great number of the most important competitions in bowling history, including PBA competitions. Jim Doty was an avid follower of the sport, and he treated our team’s players and coaches with the highest respect at all times. His understanding of business and skill to negotiate always put him in a favorable position, and he was always willing to collaborate with others.
Many people within the bowling community referred to him as a true legend during his time in the sport. Bowling was a pastime that Jim enjoyed very much, and he committed his entire life to it. Jim’s unwavering passion was a crucial element in the expansion of the bowling industry as it exists today. Jim wasn’t just a leader, but he was also the face of our organization, and he was a true friend to everyone he came in contact with. This made him an integral part of our community.
His excitement for bowling was infectious, and his ability to strategize and lead inspired each and every one of us to perform to the very best of our capabilities. Both the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Fame and the Indianapolis Section of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Hall of Fame inducted him as a tribute to his incredible career in the sport of bowling. He was a true icon in the bowling community.
He was a consistent contributor to the Brunswick Youth Experience Bowling program throughout its existence.
