Former Mayor & Councilor Jim Cusack has sadly passed away. Jim served our Moonee Valley community from 2005-2020 and was a community activist and public servant in the truest sense. As Mayor, Jim created our International Women’s Day Breakfast, established sister city status with Liquica in Timor and started our now well-established community conversations with the Mayor program.

Jim Cusack was former Moonee Valley Mayor and Councilor. By many, he was regarded as a mentor who inspired others. He served in the Council from 2005 until 2020 and as Mayor from 2011-2012. He had a huge passion for social justice, working so hard to help support initiatives in the community. These initiatives helped to benefit most of the disadvantaged residents of Moonee Valley City Council.
