Mrs. Jessie Martin Butler, 94, of Defeated Creek, died on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Smith County Health and Rehab. Though her family will miss her, she needed to rest. Apparently, she died a peaceful death.
She is survived by her two sons, David Butler of Defeated Creek and Roger Butler, and wife Melanie of Graveltown, as well as 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Butler is at Sanderson Funeral Home’s Carthage Chapel, where her service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. Jimmy Gregory will preside over the ceremony.
Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens are where he was laid to rest. Andrew Butler, Jesse Butler, Kevin Butler, Daniel Gregory, Kelly Butler, Jackson Wright, Erron Wright, and Randy Cook will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will take place on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
