On March 28, about 1:09 p.m., a car accident that occurred on US-95 in Nez Perce County near milepost 306 claimed the life of a man. When the collision occurred, an individual who was 56 years old and a woman who was 49 years old, both from Weippe, were operating a Ford Explorer in the direction of northbound travel, as stated by the Idaho State Police. The preliminary investigation conducted by the police has led them to the conclusion that the driver lost control of the vehicle, collided with a guardrail and a jersey barrier, and then rolled over.
It was determined that the guy had passed away at the scene of the accident, and the wife was sent to the hospital in an ambulance. When the collision occurred, the two were not using their seatbelts, according to the police. The victims’ names have not been made public, but the authorities have contacted their nearest of kin.
