Gerald Parker Cox was born in Grand Forks, ND on November 7, 1950. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School in 1969. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Aaker’s Business College and subsequently from the University of North Dakota.
Jerry worked at Valley Dairy and numerous convenience shops in Grand Forks. After retirement, he drove a special needs school bus. Kids and coworkers he adored Jerry married Paula Storey on June 27, 1997, in Grand Forks.
He played with Melvin D. Burlap, Clockwork, and Deliverance. He liked to travel, hang out on his patio with his two cats, Oscar and Charlie, and watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race with his family. Most of all, he cherished family time. He was a long-time member of Grand Forks’ University Lutheran Church.
Son, Jerry (Cindy Johnson) Lowe, East Grand Forks, MN; a brother, Brian (Bonnie) Cox, Quincy, IL; and a granddaughter, Ava Lowe. He was predeceased by his parents, Aurora Lee, and Kim Albert.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 4, 2020 at University Lutheran Church. Family Greeting: An hour before the Friday church service.
