Jeff Ontiveros Death – Jeff Ontiveros, Texas Longhorns Baseball Team defense has died at age 40. He was a well-known Texas baseballer and he loved and respected everyone who got to know him before his death. He was a standout player for the Round Rock Dragons, and later he became the first Longhorn in school history to hit 20 home runs in a single season for Texas, which helped the team win the National Championship in Omaha in 2002. He was pronounced dead on March 3, 2023 and the family members mourn his death.

Jeff Ontiveros finished his collegiate career on the Forty Acres as a part of the Texas squad that won the National Championship in 2002. He earned four letters during his time there. Ontiveros is a native of Round Rock, Texas, and he completed his stellar collegiate career as the school’s all-time leader in games played, home runs (both in a single season and for his career), extra-base hits, total bases, and hit by pitches. He also hit the most home runs (both in a single season and for his career).

In addition, he is ranked among the top 10 players of all time in hits, runs scored, and doubles. Jeff Ontiveros was described as a tough coach who had a firm faith in the importance of quickness and conditioning. Condolences are been sent to the family members of the Texas Longhorns Baseball Team defense who passed away on March 3, 2023.

About Jeff Ontiveros

Although Brian Cisarik, Danny Peoples, and John Langerhans were also candidates for this honor, Texas Longhorns Baseball Team decided to give it to Ontiveros because he was the all-time leader for Texas in games played, games started, at-bats, and total bases. It is appropriate that they put Ontiveros one spot behind Kyle Russell in this hypothetical batting order. Russell is the leader of the Longhorns in both the single-season and career home run categories, and Ontiveros is the runner-up in both categories, having hit 20 home runs in 2002 and having hit 55 dingers in his career.

His career total of 184 runs scored places him ninth all-time in the program’s record books. Because he had turned three of the top eight single-season double plays, he was a dependable fielder at first base. These totals place him in the top eight of this category.
