According to information released, at approximately On the evening of April 14th, 2023, about eleven o’clock at night, Chisago County Emergency Communications received a call reporting a motorist who had not been seen in some time. The caller mentioned a location in Rushseba Township that they were interested in.

The following morning, deputies returned to the area to resume their search. Chisago County Emergency Communications received a call at approximately 12:20 PM reporting that an individual believed they had spotted a vehicle submerged underwater in Rock Creek near the intersection of 540th Street and Ivy Avenue. The location of the vehicle was described as being near the intersection of 540th Street and Ivy Avenue.
Deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the scene, where they subsequently requested further reinforcements. After having the vehicle pulled from the water, the body of the missing driver, who was an adult male and the only occupant, was found inside the vehicle. In response to the incident, the Midwest Medical Examiners Office was dispatched to the location, and the investigation is still under way.
