Jed Farraway Death, Man Found Dead In Central Queensland
A man’s body has been discovered and identified after he was thrown from his boat in Queensland. At about 7.30 a.m. on Sunday, Jed Farraway, 28, fell overboard when the boat he was in collided with a marker buoy in waters off Port Alma, near Rockhampton.
According to news.com.au, After an extensive search involving the water police coast guard, the RACQ rescue helicopter, and police divers, the body of the Central Queensland fisherman was discovered at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Three more men were rescued, including a man in his twenties who was airlifted to a hospital in Rockhampton in a serious but stable condition.
The two other men, both in their twenties and thirties, were only slightly hurt. At the time of the incident, there were four individuals on the boat. Mr. Farraway was described as an “Aussie larrikin” with “character” by family and friends who paid tribute to him online.
