Javarius Hendrix Death, LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A 14-year-old resident of Louisville, Kentucky, Javarius Hendrix, passed away tragically on Sunday, January 16th, 2023. A family member in Louisville, Kentucky, name Jayla Hendrix shared the devastating news with the public on Sunday on social media. “y’all please send one up for my auntie Terese Hendrix she lost her baby boy Javarius today.” Javarius Hendrix’s life was tragically taken in his home with his family in the house.
Javarius Hendrix’s cause of death
After a juvenile was shot and murdered in the Wyandotte/Oakdale neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, January 16th, 2023, police in Louisville is conducting an investigation into the incident. Officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Brentwood Avenue at approximately 3 o’clock in the afternoon in response to a report of a shooting there. When the police came, they discovered a 14-year-old boy who had been shot.
According to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell, he passed away at the scene of the incident. The juvenile victim was identified as Javarius Hendrix by the coroner for Jefferson County. The Homicide Unit of the Louisville Metro Police Department is conducting its investigation. According to Mitchell, all parties have been identified and located.
What shot Javarius Hendrix?
Javarius’s mother Terese Hendrix stated that she was found downstairs on the day in question, while Javarius, his older brother, and another young man who she assumed to be a friend were found upstairs. She claimed that she had heard a loud bang and rushed upstairs to see her kid lying on the floor bleeding. She was unable to staunch the bleeding, so she kept her two sons and another youngster, who she estimated to be 11 or 12 years old, in the house until the police arrived.
Javarius was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Louisville Metro Police Department stated that all parties have been accounted for; however, they did not specify whether or not an arrest had been made. Javarius was a student at Minor Daniels Academy.
