Northwest Fresno Police identify 27-year-old killed in a shooting at a home on Gregory Avenue and Cromwell Avenue, suspect has been detained
Authorities say a 21-year-old male has been detained in connection with a fatal shooting in northwest Fresno.
Jason Vitug, 27, was shot and died late Tuesday night at a home on Gregory Avenue and Cromwell Avenue in NW Fresno.
Preliminary investigation determined that King and Vitug were at the residence with a group of long-time friends when King pulled out the gun and fired it with “conscious disregard for human life,” according to authorities.

The cause for the shooting has not been revealed, but police say there was no altercation or disagreement before the gun was fired.
King was brought into the Fresno County Jail on murder charges.
