Jason Chapman Death – Jason Chapman, a resident of Okeechobee, Florida, and an Okeechobee city police officer and decorated Air Force veteran has tragically passed away. He was announced dead in a social media statement released on Wednesday, September 27, that read “With great sadness, we regret to inform you of the passing of Okeechobee City Police Officer Jason Chapman. Officer Chapman was involved in an off-duty vehicle accident on September 26, 2023.”

Who was Jason Chapman?

Officer Jason Chapman’s steadfast passion is demonstrated through his commitment to serving the Okeechobee community. Before he became a law enforcement officer, he served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years with distinction, including several deployments to places like Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan.

Officer Chapman was awarded numerous medals for his exceptional military service, including the Gallant Unit Citation, the US Air Force Achievement Medal, the US Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the US Air Force Commendation Medal. These accolades highlight his extraordinary efforts and bravery in some of the most difficult settings on earth. As Officer Chapman moved into the law enforcement field, his dedication to public safety did not waver.

He received three life-saving awards, which is evidence of his courage and fast thinking in dire circumstances. He also received two unit commendations, which spoke to his commitment to teamwork and collaborative spirit. Officer Chapman’s outstanding performance was recognized with the title of PSLPD Officer of the Quarter, which is indicative of his unwavering dedication to enforcing the law and guaranteeing community safety.
