Last Tuesday, two mass shootings left ten people injured, the first at lunchtime when one shooter fired an estimated 60 bullets, and a double homicide Thursday night when a pregnant woman and her boyfriend were shot outside their home. Even before Brunson died early Friday, citizens and elected leaders were outraged by the spate of shootings.
According to comesite100.com, The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. inside a home in the 1700 block of East Lafayette Street, according to Baltimore Police, and the victim subsequently died in the hospital. Officials haven’t revealed anything regarding a possible motivation.
Then came Friday morning’s news. Brunson was murdered by a gunman just hours after leaving the school dance. Lee described him as “He was just one of those kids you knew was going to be somebody,”
Brunson spent much of his free time at the gym and worked as a lifeguard in the summer, according to a statement posted on his family’s Gofundme page to raise money for funeral expenses.
