Death: Jaquane Carter Dies in Rear-End Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 10 – Jaquane Carter, 31, was killed in a deadly rear-end semi-truck incident on Interstate 10 on Friday afternoon. Around 12:40 p.m., an accident happened on the freeway’s westbound lanes near Beaumont Avenue.
According to sweetjames.com, The driver of a 2015 Kia failed to brake in time for halted traffic ahead, according to the California Highway Patrol. As a result, Carter rear-ended a 2019 Freightliner on the No. 4 lane, which was pulling a 53-foot semi-trailer.
First responders located the Kia driver with blunt force head damage. He later died at the site from his injuries due to the severity of his condition. Carter, of Burgaw, North Carolina, was recognized as the deceased guy by police. Carter was also stationed at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, according to California Highway Patrol investigators.
Crews briefly closed the surrounding region for several hours as officials removed the wreckage. Authorities do not have any other information on the crash at this time. An active inquiry, however, is still underway.
