Janice David Cause of Death, Obituary Unavailable yet – According to detectives and reports, a Louisiana woman was stabbed to death on a Facebook Live video after her killer allegedly tied her hands to a car steering wheel with jumper cables.
As reported by nypost.com, Janice David, 34, was found beaten and fatally stabbed in a car at 9:52 p.m. Earl Lee Johnson Jr., 35, was arrested for her murder. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the incident occurred on Monday.
Sgt. L’Jean McKneely told reporters Tuesday that the Facebook Live session lasted about 15 minutes and came after a three- or four-day “drug binge.”
“They were apparently involved in some drug use together for a couple of days, and the end result — as everyone has seen on Facebook Live — is a very nasty, very evil act,” McKneely added.
According to police, Johnson choked, assaulted, and stabbed David. According to WBRZ, the suspect also allegedly tied David’s hands to the car steering wheel with jumper cables.
The horrible footage was reported on Facebook, which alerted the authorities. According to reports, responding officers discovered the car abandoned in the parking area of Sherwood Tower, an office building.
Johnson was detained on Monday in connection with a separate auto theft case in which he was allegedly hurt during a police chase. When questioned, he acknowledged to the murder, according to the TV station. Johnson was convicted of armed robbery in 2007 and sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to WRBZ.
