James Alexander, also known as James Gracie was married to Anel who announced his death the public on Saturday morning. In January 2019, James Alexander was given a diagnosis of head and neck cancer; nevertheless, he and his wife have chosen to keep their battle with the disease private. The married pair who had left South Africa in 2016 and spent the previous five years living in Los Angeles and working in Hollywood eventually relocated back to South Africa in 2017.
James Alexander gained widespread recognition for his performance as Dr. Rico Maartens in the M-Net and kykNET (DStv 144) soap opera Binnelanders. He later went on to secure the part of Tristan in the prime time soap opera The Wild on M-Net. Over the course of the previous 15 years, he has held jobs in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In 2004, he served as a co-host on the reality competition show Project Fame, which was broadcast on M-Net.
