Jamerson Hawthorne passed away after he was severely injured in the fatal shooting that happened. One other victim was injured in the incident that happened in the area of the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue. The identity of a man who was killed in a shooting on Wednesday evening has been made public by the Waco Police Department.

Jamerson Hawthorne, age 40 years, passed away as a result of his injuries sustained in the shooting incident, while a woman is making progress in her recovery from her injuries. Wednesday night at 10:55, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were given CPR by responding officers before being taken to the hospital by emergency medical services.
The medical staff at the hospital confirmed that Hawthorne had passed away. The authorities feel that this is an isolated incidence, and that there is no threat to the general public as a result.
