He was announced dead by a family member on Monday, July 24th, a social media publication that read “July 22nd my sister received the hardest phone call if of her life. Words can’t describe. Please keep her family in your prayers and thoughts. Isaiah is currently recovering at home with her.”

She was informed that both of her boys were in an accident, her oldest of the two is pretty bruised up but recovering at home unfortunately her 9-year-old son Jacob did not make it. Olmsted Falls Intermediate School (OFIS) PTA Statement
We were saddened to learn we tragically lost one of our own, Jacob Haessly, a rising fourth grader at Olmsted Falls Intermediate School this past Saturday. Anytime we lose a student, we lose a part of our school family, and the loss is deeply felt. Jacob has three older brothers, David and Joshua who are out of school, and Isaiah who will be entering 6th grade. Our thoughts are with Jacob’s family and friends at this time.
Olmsted Falls Intermediate School (OFIS) PTA also said “To help students, families, and staff members cope with grief and emotions, our school district counselors will be available at Falls-Lenox Primary School from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27. If you or your child needs someone to talk to or support in processing this news, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our counseling department.”
