Jacob Dowil Death – A 17-year-old male was killed in a one-car collision on Saturday night, according to a crash report submitted by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The teenage driver from Union was traveling east on Liberty School Road in a 2004 Dodge Dakota, according to the highway patrol. According to the highway patrol, the vehicle left the road around 11:45 p.m. on June 3 and collided with a tree.
Loved ones identified Jacob Dowil from Union as the victim of the accident. Dowil was buckled in, and was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis where, on Sunday, June 4, at 12:36 a.m., his death was announced.

Four people were hurt and one person died in a multi-vehicle incident in Clay County on Wednesday night, according to officials. The Kansas City Star reports that the collision occurred on Missouri A near 112th Street in Liberty at around 7:15 p.m. According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a teenage boy was operating a Chevrolet Impala when he lost control of the vehicle and sideswiped a Ford F-150 pickup truck close to Liberty North High School. The Chevrolet then collided directly into a Dodge Ram truck.
At the scene, the juvenile driver was declared dead. The Dodge Ram’s occupants, two adults and two kids, all suffered moderate injuries and were sent to a nearby hospital. The Ford’s driver escaped harm. The report claims that someone in the Dodge called 911 while wearing a smartwatch, alerting deputies to the event. The traffic safety division of the sheriff’s office is still looking into the collision.
