Social media reactions to Jackson Buresh’s Death:
Servite High School Athletics said, “It is with deep sadness that we share with you of the sudden passing of Servite junior Jackson Buresh. Please join us in praying for the Buresh family, for Jackson, and all those that were impacted by his life.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.” Coach Thomas shared, “Jackson was as courageous as they come. Never backed down from life’s challenges. He always wanted his coaches to be tough on him and demanded to be held accountable. He loved his brothers tremendously. He is the definition of a great Friar.” If you need any support during this difficult time, please reach out to Servite Counseling at 714-774-7575 x1134.”
“Junior Jackson Buresh was presented with the Honored Jersey at a football practice last week by the Voice of the Friars, Tim Brundige ’73. This tradition was established by the Class of 1973 to honor the memory of their classmate, Kevin Stephenson. Every year the No. 78 jersey goes to a player who embodies the characteristics Stephenson portrayed including quiet leadership, dedication and teamwork. Previous recipients include Prestine Johnson ’21, Nick Martinez ’20 who wore it both his junior and senior seasons, Parker Thomas ’18, Christian Labow ’17, Nicholas Ramirez ’16, Tommy Garcia ’15 and Zach Shallcross ’14.”
My heart goes out to the family and friends during this difficult time. Please accept my condolence. Good people make their exit from this planet faster than evil people. Rest in peace.
