Ivy Shaw Obituary, Death – Mrs Ivy Shaw, of Grassmoor, formerly of Curber Close, North Wingfield, has sadly passed away at Brookholme Croft Nursing Home, Hasland, aged 92.
Born in Clay Cross and a lifelong local resident, Ivy started work at Belper Mill after leaving school, she later worked in the canteen at Deincourt School.
Her interests included meeting friends at North Wingfield Miners Welfare for a good ‘chinwag’ and a game of bingo. She also loved gardening and knitting.
Ivy was predeceased by her husband Albert, She leaves sons and daughters Gail, Alvin, Anthony, Allan and Lisa, and six grandchildren.
The funeral service is due to take place on Tuesday 31st May 2022 at Chesterfield Crematorium at 11.30 am. All donations in memory of Ivy will be given to Ashgate Hospicecare.
