Isle of Palms Shooting Investigations – At least a dozen law enforcement agencies and EMS are responding to scene of an active shooter at a popular busy vacation site in South Carolina Friday. According to reports, at least ten shots was heard fired at Mount Pleasant Pier in South Carolina. Law enforcement agencies say officers were called to the scene after received a reports of multiple shots fired at the location. A heavy police presence is currently in the area Pier. A large number of officers vehicle were seen racing down towards Isle of Palms.
According to reports, a subject fired multiple shots at the busy venue occupied by majorly teenagers. At the time of this publication, no victim information’s have been released. UPDATE: incident happened at the popular The Windjammer located on 1008 Ocean Blvd, Isle of Palms, SC. According to law enforcement agencies, four subjects were located suffering from gunshot injuries at the scene. The four victims have been transported to an area hospital where their condition remains unknown. Still no suspect information. This is a developing story.

On October 10, a gun accidentally went off inside the public safety headquarters of the coastal city, according to an official. Chief Kevin Cornett was brought to the hospital for treatment of a hand injury that was not considered to be life-threatening, according to Desirée Fragoso, the city administrator. The shooting was done inadvertently somewhere around three in the afternoon. Fragoso stated that there was nobody else wounded, but he would not clarify. Fragoso responded that the incident had “just happened” when asked whether the Police Department or State Law Enforcement Division will investigate the shooting.
However, he stated that officials will “certainly” follow protocol in the event that an investigation is conducted.Since June of 2019, Cornett has been in charge of the department. It was in 2005 that he started his career in law enforcement with the Columbia Police Department, where he worked his way up through the ranks before becoming the chief of the police force in Springdale.
