Iowa state trooper Rose Ives succumbs to cancer after courageous fight: Trooper Rose Hoyt (Ives) ISP #191, a member of the Iowa State Patrol community, is missed by all of us. Trooper Ives’ amazing bravery and tenacity inspired everyone around her as she valiantly battled disease. Her unwavering fortitude in the face of adversity left a lasting mark on her teammates and the communities she served.
Trooper Ives’s efforts to the Iowa State Patrol and District 3 of Council Bluffs were very beneficial. She is a shining example of the integrity, professionalism, and selflessness that define the Iowa State Patrol, and her steadfast commitment to her job motivates her fellow troopers. Many people have extended their sincere condolences to Trooper Ives’ family, whose death has shocked the Iowa State Patrol and beyond.
Everyone in the town is in mourning along with those who were fortunate enough to know and love Trooper Ives at this extremely awful time. Though arrangements for her memorial ceremony are still pending, those who were lucky enough to serve alongside Trooper Ives will always remember her service and sacrifice with great reverence. She will be known for being a kind citizen and an excellent trooper who dedicated her life to the protection of her neighborhood.
We honor Trooper Rose Hoyt (Ives) ISP #191’s remarkable contributions to the Iowa State Patrol as well as her exceptional humanity and inner strength in addition to commemorating her life and career. Even though she is no longer with us physically, her impact will live on in the lives she touched and the teachings she imparted will inspire future generations.
