Amber Alert in Dolton, Illinois -15-year-old teenager was kidnaped in the early hours of Tuesday, July 12th, 2022 and an Amber Alert was issued late Monday night. Antaneya Smith was last seen heading towards northbound on Interstate 90/94 at 87th Street in Illinois.
The police reported someone suspected to be driving a black 2005 Ford 500 sedan abducted Antaneya Smith around 2:42 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The person who took Smith away is yet to be identified. Soon after, an Illinois State Police officer near West 87th Street on northbound Interstate 94 noticed the vehicle as stated by the state police. The Ford the suspect was riding in crashed into another vehicle during a chase.
After the crash the vehicle was pushed into the side of a state police squad car, hitting an officer inside the squad car. The officer sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to an hospital that was close to the scene of the accident, according to fox32chicago.com
Antaneya Smith was described as a black female that is 5-foot-2 in height, 140 lbs. and both her hair and eyes are brown. Smith was last spotted wearing a pair of blue jean shorts, a white shirt, a pink cropped hooded sweater, and white gym shoes. According to Dolton police, the Ford vehicle in which she was carried away has the Illinois license plate number DG20425. While the suspect was escaping the police authorities, the front end of the car was damaged.
Around 2:54 p.m., the car Antaneya Smith was taken away in was last spotted traveling north on I-90/94 at 87th Street and the Amber Alert was issued late on Monday night. The 15-year-old teenager that was abducted in Dolton, Illinois, and still missing.
There is still no information about the suspect at the time of this publication. Police have urged anyone with any kind of information about the incident to dial 911.
