Ian DeWitt Death – Ian DeWitt of Phillipsburg, Kansas, passed away following a car accident on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Harlan County. Kassy DeWitt of Phillipsburg, Kansas, wrote on Facebook that she will forever miss Ian randomly walking through her back door and his feisty competitive attitude and humor. Ian was taken so suddenly and too soon.
Kassy said they know Ian was loved by many and has many friends and they want loved ones to share thier memories as they are putting together a slideshow. According to the reports, Khandelia had serious injuries as an outcome of the accident, and he eventually passed away as a result of those injuries.

A rollover accident that occurred early Thursday morning close to Phillipsburg, Kansas, claimed the life of a woman from Logan, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash involving a single car that occurred at 7:40 in the morning several miles south of Highway 36.
When Hollie Kendall, age 49, was driving on Phillips County Road 1000, ten miles west of Phillipsburg, she pulled over to the right shoulder to meet a pickup. Hollie was headed in the direction of Phillipsburg. The 2004 Ford Escape started to skid on the gravel, then went off the road onto the left shoulder, then back onto the road, and finally toppled.
Kendall, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, was thrown from the vehicle and would land on the uphill portion of the right shoulder of the road. According to the report, the Ford Escape would continue its journey into the ditch to the east before coming to a stop on its right side while looking south.
At the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, which also houses a mortuary, Kendall was carried there.
