Hunter Creel Death – Hardin High School Alumnus Hunter Creel has sadly passed away. He died on Tuesday 5th September 2023 after a deadly accident involving a Kia Rio FM 563. He was confirmed dead through a post that says “Rest easy sweet angel as our town looses a loved one please please pray. Pray for a mother who lost her son, a father who raised a gentleman, a step father who stepped up and chose to be apart of his life”.
How did the accident happen?
The first findings of the inquiry into the incident indicate that at approximately 5 a.m., a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling in the southbound direction, and a 2020 Kia Rio passenger car was heading in the northbound direction. It has been stated that the driver of the Dodge made an accidental turn into the northbound lane, which led to a collision with the Kia. The driver of the Dodge, a guy named Leteddrick Mathis who resides in Somerville and is 30 years old, was promptly transferred to Memorial Hermann for medical assistance after the accident.
During this time, the driver of the Kia, Hardin native Hunter Ethan Creel, age 21, was also sent to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, after further examination, the medical staff determined that Hunter Ethan Creel had passed away. The circumstances surrounding this occurrence are still being looked into, and at this time there are no further details that can be disclosed. The investigation is still ongoing.

A tragic incident occurred on Monday 28th August 2023 in Madison County, resulting in the loss of a local resident’s life. Debra L. Fowler, a 72-year-old from Munnsville, met a fatal accident when her vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, leading to a devastating collision with a tractor-trailer, as reported by state troopers. The incident unfolded around 8:55 a.m. when Fowler was driving southward on West Road, just south of Peterboro Road, within the town of Stockbridge. According to Trooper Jack Keller, a spokesperson for the state police, Fowler inexplicably crossed into the northbound lane, setting the stage for the tragic collision.
Tragically, Fowler’s 2014 Toyota Yaris collided head-on with a 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer, resulting in significant damage and injury. The operator of the tractor-trailer, identified as Kevin Fallon, a 52-year-old resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also sustained injuries in the accident. Regrettably, Fowler lost her life at the scene of the accident, with emergency responders unable to save her.
